How can I upload my index.html page to have a website for free?
I am looking for a site that does all of this:Lets you host unlimited (or if not unlimited, at least 100) imagesLets you pick the file name of the imagesIs freeDoes not prohibit commercial useAllows you to externally link to the imagesThe reason that I need the file name to not change is, I have a program that will parse images with certain text in the filename and insert them into the html of a web page based on certain parameters. But this won't work if the hosting site renames the images from what I want to call them.Picasa doesn't work for my purposes because the part of the address of the pictures after you upload them is something like oPPF8Wv3BFI, and it's different for each picture even if you upload them together.000webhost has in its terms "Account cannot be used to store files only", so that doesn't work either.

How do I make a website with many user accounts, design it in html and css and design a relational database using mysql and link them all in to upload as a complete package to the domain hosting site? I know how to do the design in html and css but how do i link this into the database if i want to bring the user account design to life and make it interactive and immediately updatable by me and the user? Can I use file zilla to upload the site? Do you even upload the database to the site or just the php web pages? Does the saved database have to be saved on the same package that the images folder is saved in? What parts can you upload and what can't you?
MySQL Uploading - How!!?
I work in higher ed and our department is hosting a photo booth at our fall festival. I do amateur photography on the side so I will be taking pictures for our booth. The festival is free to all attendees and is a give back to the community. I will have a sign up sheet for parents to sign with their name, e-mail address and a few descriptions on their kids (e.g. number in the photo, costume description, male/female) for purposes of organizing when I off load my camera. However, NONE of the images will be used for any promotional purposes, will NOT be available on any web site. They will be distributed by e-mail designated by the parent. I will e-mail their photos along with a photographer's release form so they can print their own images.My question is, given the situation, will I need to have parents sign a consent form in order to take their child's portrait, or is the sign up sheet consent enough?If the sign up sheet is consent enough, I will add a blurb that the photos will not be used in any promotional manner and that by signing they consent to allowing their child to be photographed.Thoughts?Thanks.

I've had this web site for over 10 years, and took it ofline because I was unable to afford it any more. I found a free site space to upload some of it. The site host is atwebpages.com. I had to install a new ftp client to upload with, I got FileZilla.Everything seems to be uploaded ok. But the images don't show up! They show fine when i view the files from my hard drive, but not on the online site.I submitted a help ticket and got a quick response, but apparently they can see th images, and in fact sent me a screenshot to prove it.I tried to view the images on both IE and Firefox, with no luck.When I click to view an image I get this message:"Error 500: Script Execution FailureDescription: The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request."The site url is http://rainbow-magic.atwebpages.com/Does anyone has any idea what to do about this ?Okay, figured it out, it was a firewall issue, resolved now.
Problem with images on free web site?
I want to primarily host a webcomic online but I would like to find a site that can support the comic and possibly have a wiki styled archive for side information on anything in the story. Also I'm not for all these cliche templates that are on sites by default so I need a site that allows you to edit code or has an engine that allows me to customize layouts and images, etc. Also weather this be a feature on the site already or able to be coded into the site, I'd like to have passwords and access blocks to sections of the web page.Since I'm just starting out I'd prefer a free or trail type site, but if there is a charge site that really seems like it'd be money well spent based on what they'd offer then I'd have no problem with that.Thanks~

i have created a website on adobe dreamweaver; when i upload it to the internet however all my images disappear. i have made sure all of the links are relative, and all of the images appear on my host site (freehostia.com) so what have i done wrong - every single image disappears on my site?!

I use photoshop to create my images and am savvy that way but know squat about html and Dreamweaver, if that's the software to use.I want to be able to create basic photo gallery type websites without using templates because I think they suck for the most part. I don't need flash or multiple applications, just a nice simple gallery view with text alongside to showcase my photos. I also want to attach an e-commerce onto it later on via my web hoster (they offer it as part of my hosting I think). It would be very important for me to be able to place the right tags or whatever they're called so that I can come up at least on the lower part of the first page of google's searches if that's at all possible. Can I teach myself via 3schools or can you recommend something for me. The reason I want to do it myself is that I have ideas for products that I'm creating that I want to be able to sell and showcase via the internet.
