I'm just wondering, if there's a web host that..;- Allows FTP.- Allows databases.- No custom 'page not fount' page. The no custom page not found page means, when it can't find a page, it does not show the web host service, only a webpage can't be found like the normal payed for web-hosts. How are websites like beemp3 and other free music sites made? I'm a graphic design student and I dabble in web design, but I know very little about web programing. Sites like beemp3 use there search engines to search the web for song links, but the actual song isn't hosted on there site. So I'm assuming a mysql wouldn't be needed since the songs found are only links and not hosted in there database right? However the site uses php and pagination so some type of database has to be involved. I want to make a register page for a pserver, but the sql database and web page are on different servers. The web page is on an actual web host (host = iPower), and the sql database is on my desktop downstairs. How do I make a register page that asks for desired account name, desired password, and your e-mail, then connects to the database (which happens to be in a totally different state), checks if the account name already exists, and if not, creates a new record for the user?
